Funniest + Scariest = Awesome Friday

Thank God it's Friday!I had a very great time last Friday. With my friends Wiwit, Beverly and Jayson, after work our first destination is going to the mall, we agreed to eat ice cream at Igloo (Jayson and I both love ice cream….”napilitan lang ata sila bevs son, ikaw gyud!..hahaha”).

After that Jayson left us because he went to meet he’s band mates …. (FYI: Jayson is a member of Rasta Band). The three musketeers (Wiwit, Beverly and Me) decided to go to Carnival…weeee. I’m very excited because the last time I went to Carnival, I'm 7 or 8 years old at that time and I can't remember what happened there. At the back of my mind I giggles like an innocent kid..hahaha (ignoy gyud...lol) When were there we can’t decide which ride we will take first. Since Wiwit is the most adventurous one (lalaki man gud..hahaha..joke lang mads), she decided to take the roller coaster ride..(“What? I said…roller coaster... FYI: Aside from cockroach, one of my fears is to ride a roller coaster). I’m so scared to try it, but I don’t have a choice not to take that ride cause they will kill me..lol.

Well honestly when where sitting there I made a sign of a cross, before the ride starts. Oh God! I really can’t imagine myself be on that ride and I can’t describe the feeling when that roller coaster starts to run, and went up and down. It’s like I’m dying that night. I can’t stop asking myself when it will stop, I pray and pray. hahaha....I know all of you will laugh at me after you read this blog, well you can’t blame me it was my first time to ride it. Well thank God the ride was over and I’m still alive making this post now. To tell you frankly even if I’m so dumb scared out there, but when you finish the ride it’s a very nice feeling. I really conquer my fears now and I wanted to ride it again…hahaha...After that we decided to ride the most challenging ride at the carnival the octopus ride more challenging than the roller coaster. For me that’s the most amazing rides in the carnival (Thanks wit). I really enjoy it, when were there Wiwit and I can’t stop but to laugh to each other she said “sayang wala ko ka pitas ug calamansi mads”hahahaha. At first you will be scared….but I learn that you should shout out very loud if you do the ride like that, so that you will be calm throughout the ride. That’s my fault when I’m riding roller coaster, I didn’t shout out that’s why I’m so paranoid while riding that thing. Well there’s always a first time, and you can’t learn the techniques if you don't experience it.

We had our dinner at Penongs’s (“nakaka gutom pala pag gagawa ka nang stunts na ganun..”). After dinner we go to MTS to watch and support the concert of our very own ‘Korean actor turns to Hollywood star’ friend Mr.Jayson Albano…hahaha (Rasta is great…..Jah Guide!!!). We really enjoy the music played by their band. Well it’s getting late Wiwit and I decided to go home, feeling exhausted for that day’s activity. But that day is one of the funniest, scariest yet awesome days in my life. Thank guys….mwah.

For Ry......

Have I ever told you
that after the first time
I receive a message from you
a thousands of miles away,
I sat up all night, reading your
message over and over examining it,
like some newly discovered
species of flower?

Have I ever told you
that sometimes I will reach out,
touching your face on this cold screen
before me, wishing I could reach in
and pull you to me?

Have I ever told you
that I would give everything up,
just for one night to be able to
lay near you, to feel your chest rise
and fall with each breath you take,
just to know that you are real?

Have I ever told you
that I dream of you often, I dream of
you reaching out and touching my hand,
simply to let me know that you are
there, and everything is okay?

Have I ever told you
that I really love you?

***This poem is for my hunny… I know our relationship now is experiencing a rough time, you have your own priorities in life that bundles your time now. I want you to know that I love you and I really trust you...I miss you....mwah hun.***

NBA All Star.....

It's All Star game again...yehey!Every year I'm looking forward to watch it. I'm a huge fan of basketball especially NBA, unfortunately I'm working and not allowed to absent, this is the first time in the history that I never watched All Star game..grrrr. It's very frustrating not to see my idol Lebron James play..huhuhu...well at least he won the tittle as MVP, congrats to me...lol...For the recap read this post.

Haier Shooting Stars:

Team San Antonio Wins 2008 Haier Shooting Stars
Tim Duncan and David Robinson are no strangers to winning with one another, so, with the added help of San Antonio Silver Stars sharpshooter Becky Hammon, it's no wonder they won yet another crown. After an impressive run in the first round, Team San Antonio took care of business in the finals of the 2008 Haier Shooting Stars challenge against Team Chicago, as Duncan drained a half-court shot to give the Texas threesome a time of 35.8 seconds.

PlayStation Skills
Challenge:

Deron Dominates Skills Challenge
For his first run through the obstacle course of the PlayStation Skills Challenge, Utah Jazz point guard Deron Williams said he was a little nervous. He shook off those jitters very quickly.
After advancing to the final round, Williams put together a flawless performance - no missed shots, every pass through the hoops - and set a record time for the final round at NBA All-Star.

Three point shootout:

Kapono Defends Title, Ties Record
Kapono set a new mark for most points in a final round of the shootout, flipping in 20-of-25 shot attempts (including 10 in a row from the third ball of the first rack to the second ball of the third rack) for a total of 25 points.
“The way it was set up on the scoreboards, you couldn’t tell what your score was, so you just had to go off of feel,” Kapono said when asked if he knew if he was approaching the record on the last rack of the final round.

Rookie Vs. Sophomore:

Sophomore Streak at Six and Counting
Gibson, the combo guard of the Cleveland Cavaliers, drained a record 11 3-pointers in 20 attempts and scored 33 points as the Sophomores again defeated the Rookies, 136-109, for their sixth straight victory.
Gibson shattered Kyle Korver's Rookie Challenge record of seven 3-pointers set in 2005. He fell three points shy of Amare Stoudemire's 2004 mark for points in the annual showcase and took home MVP honors, joining Zydrunas Ilgauskas (1998) - not LeBron James - as the only Cavaliers to win the award.

Slam Dunk:

All-Star Saturday Dwight
On his first dunk of the night, Howard tossed the ball to himself off the back of the backboard, caught it, and threw it down with his left hand while his head was still on the other side of the glass.
"I've been working on that one for two years," Howard revealed. "I saw Iguodala did it, and I was working on it after that, coming up with my own little thing."On his first dunk of the finals, Howard did a high toss from the left wing, tipped off the backboard (on the right side) with his left hand, and then threw it down with his right. And he made it look very easy.Dwight Howard put on his Superman cape and soared,It's a Bird. It's a Plane. It's the Slam Dunk Champion
2008 All Star Game:

West:

Kobe Bryant,
Carmelo Anthony, Yao Ming, Tim Duncan, Allen Iverson.

East:
Dwayne Wade, Kevin Garnett, Dwight Howard, Jason Kidd.

Score:
And the MVP: My Lebron James...God answer my prayer...(ilang santo na tinawag ko para ma mvp ka..lol)
LeBron James earned MVP honors and nearly missed a triple-double as the East edged the West in the NBA All-Star Game (sayang beat mo na sana record ni manoy jordan..lol)

Ray Allen scored 28 points, making three straight 3-pointers in the final 3:15, and LeBron James added 27 as the East, widely considered the NBA's weaker half, beat the Western Conference 134-128 in All-Star Game.James, who added nine assists and eight rebounds, was the MVP for the second time in three years. He also won the honor in 2006. "We didn't want to come out here and get beat up on again,'' James said.
“I mean to add the MVP trophy with the win means a lot to me,” James said. “I played well and I helped our team win. It means a lot to go out there and perform the way I was able to in front of the fans of New Orleans.”

Spending my Valentines Day....

Since yesterday was Valentines Day and I don't have a date. My friends Wiwit, Beverly and I, decided to watch a movie. You know just trying to have fun on Valentines Day even without a date, who says singles doesn't know how to have fun!right girls?..hahaahaha. When we arrived at the mall we saw a lots of sweet couples there, carrying flowers and heart shape balloon. We nudge to each other and said “HAY BUTI PA SILA” and laugh, well honestly in my entire life I never get a chance to received a flower..hahaha.

Before we proceed to watch a movie, we decided to take-out food in KFC our official tambayan...grrr..I love the food in KFC knowing that this food chain is one of the reason why my allergy trigger..hahaha(I do have a chicken allergy now, no worries it's not severe.), well I can't help it I love the food in KFC....After that we discuss what movie we would watched, fortunately I was able to convinced them, to watched the movie that I like (I have a gift in convincing people..hahaha),sorry Bevs I know you really wanted to watch marian rivera's movie (My Bestfriend's Girlfriend) , next time Bevs we will promised. (while waiting for our oder, we post for picture^)

The tittle of the movie that we watched is the “Jumper”, (It was recommended it to me by my bf) the cast in the movie were Hayden Christensen play as David, Samuel L. Jackson as Roland, Rachel Bilson as Millie, Diane Lane as Mary, Jamie Bell as Griffin and etc.,this movie was directed by Doug Liman who also directed 'Bourne Identity' and 'Mr. And Mrs. Smith' (cool huh!). Jumper is a tale of an underground world of Teleporters. The main character played by Hayden Christensen as David Rice has grown up with a mysterious power – he’s able to instantly teleport – or ‘jump’ – anywhere in the world. From New York to Tokyo, from the ruins of Rome to the heart of the Sahara Desert, through walls and bank safes - anywhere is possible. Initially using his powers to run away from his past and to take advantage of unlimited wealth to remain fiercely independent, he later discovers that he his not alone, and all is not well in the world of ¨jumpers¨.

The movie is very cool especially when David robbed the bank and no one noticed him and when he teleport to one place to another...(oh!that's amazing!)..hmmm
.. I wish I had a gift like that...hahaha, well if I do,there are 3 things in my list...1. I will rob all the government bank..hahaha(oist to get revenge from the government for paying high taxes and theres no improvement in the country)bad right?lol...Well the good thing about it, the money that I rob i will share it to my family, donate to charities and churches and treat my friends (love it guys?party all day without work..lol). 2. I will go to States (to visit my bf, I will surprised him) and we will watch NBA games together...lol 3.Travel around the world, I want to go first to Paris, France...grrr Paris is the place that I really wanted to visit. It's crazy right? Well it's good to imagined crazy stuff sometimes, to remove stress and problems in life.

Seriously I encourage you to watch it and I guarantee you it's worth to watch. You can learn from the movie that it's fun to have everything you want, but too much is not good. For girls Hayden Christensen is so cute..haha.(that's him cute right? -->) He's my 2nd crush now next to Orlando Bloom, I did not notice that Hayden Christensen is the one who played the role of Anakin Skywalker in Star War's well he's just a kid back then. Well my next post in this blog is all bout Hayden. I really enjoyed the movie especially because I'm with my friends and I hope they enjoy it too. So after that we went home directly tired but with a nice feeling we proved to ourselves that we can enjoy Valentines Day, even without a date... right girls?

The history of Valentines Day

It's February 14 now...”Happy Valentines to all”...Let me tell you the history of valentines day..hmmm...The origin of the Valentines Day is shrouded in mystery and there are varying opinions about it. Its origin has become theme of many legends. St. Valentines Day as we celebrate today has remnants of both Christian and ancient Roman traditions. According to some legends Saint Valentine served as a priest at the temple during the reign of Emperor Claudius. Claudius then had Valentine jailed for defying his decree, which outlawed marriage for young men.

Some legends have it that the Valentines Day originated from St. Valentine, a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity on Feb. 14, 269 A.D. Today the Roman Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine, all of whom were martyred. St. Valentine may have been imprisoned and later killed for helping Christians to escape harsh punishment in Roman prisons.

There is an interesting story portraying the love affair between St. Valentine and the jailor's daughter. St. Valentine left a farewell note for her, the note read- "from your Valentine². Valentine's Day is said to have started in the Roman Empire. In ancient Rome, February 14th was a holiday to honor Juno. Juno was the Queen of the Roman Gods and Goddesses. The Romans regarded her as the Goddess of women and marriage. The following day, February 15th, began the festival of Lupercalia, in honor of Lupercus, the hunter of wolves. Legends aside, the popularity of the Valentines Day rose manifold among the people and in tune with it Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honor St. Valentine, the patron saint of love and romance. (source:internet..i forgot the site)

***Well honestly I don't like Valentines Day!wanna know why?cause every valentine I don't have a date..hahaha...silly right?but that's true...lol. And although i do have a boyfriend now,he's not here so I still I don't have a date ("don't feel bad hun, i do understand everything")..well talking to him this morning is a very nice feeling, he's not here physically but I felt he's presence (" I love you hun")...I'm not sure if I go out with my girls friends (theresa and beverly) right now to watch a movie, we're still debating on it..hahaha....To all my friends single and taken "Happy Valentines Guys!"mwah....***

It's My Pops Birthday

Yesterday February 12 is the birthday of my pops...We celebrate it with a simple dinner, just the four of us (me,van, moms, pops) in one of the restaurant here (<-waiting for our order, i'm not in the pic cause I'm the photographer..hehehe). Since my dad doesn't want any gift for he's birthday, so I decided to treat them to dinner that's the least I can do...hahaha....Well I will tell you a little bit about my dad he's the kind of father that's very strict, moody sometimes, funny, kind, smart and a loyal husband. Before when I'm still studying he always told me “no boys, study first!” and “after school go home” ('I told you he's very strict!') that's why I never got a change to have boyfriend..huhuhu..Well before honestly I don't know why he's very strict then, until I grow older I realized that he's just trying to protect me from anything that can ruin my dreams in life and he knows what's best for me. And one thing about him you can't tell lies to my dad, he knows that your lying by simply looking at you and he can read your mind (pretty cool huh?)...hahaha... He's really a cool dad willing to sing in the karaoke with you, tease you and carry you like a baby...hahaha (Did I told you that I'm a papa's girl, sorry bro I'm papa's favorite...lol). He's really a good provider to he's family and god fearing. Does it sounds he's perfect? No he's not, he has faults also! But for me he is a good person...I really love my dad I look up to him...he's my hero and my mentor. He keep on telling me this “Aubrey ang buhay hindi isang cassette tape na puwede mong e rewind kung may ma missed ka na song”...Yeah my dad talk about making used of your time and making a wise decisions in life. You can't go back the time once you misused it, no matter how sorry you are. Pa thanks for reminding me that always, thanks for being a good husband to mom and a good father to us...and stop teasing me about my love life....lol. I Love You pa!Happy Birthday po...mwah....

'What If'

What if two people lived like human compasses,
Will they ever find their partner soul?
What if two people had opposite magnetism,
Will they ever find their matching poles?

What if two people traveled a closed path,
Will their paths ever come across?
What if two people became static,
Will they ever know their worthy cause?

What if two people listened to the same music,
Will they know what their ears hear?
What if two people become mute,
How will they say what they feel?

Life is full of mysteries and questions.
What more can you ask for?
However the world turns around,
No one will really ever know!

***This poem taken from the science journal of my bro, while scanning he's journal I saw this poem. For some reason I really like it and I think it was made for me, so I decided to post it here.haha... "What If", yeah life is full of 'what if'...what if all your wishes came true,is that can make you feel contented in life? what if you risks everything for someone, is that means that he\she will stay for you forever? ..and etc. Life is full of mysteries, full of surprises. You don't know what will happened next.... Sometimes you feel that life is very frustrating and sometimes you feel life is good after everything that happened to you. So many questions in our minds and no matter how hard we tried for an answer, still we can't get it. But as time past we just surprised that all the boggling question in our mind in the past are now answered. We keep on finding the truth about life and trying hard to find a meaning about it, but we fail to appreciate life itself. We complain that sometimes life is so boring, but how can we enjoy life if you, yourself doesn't know how to have fun. "Life is like a game of cards. The hand that is dealt you represents determinism; the way you play it is free will." Just enjoy life!play it well....mwah all...***

"Being There"

One of the most sought after expressions of love is presence. Not many people realize this but it's true. It is not the gifts of material value, but the thought of being there. This is the most valuable gift we can give. To be there in person for the solemn or joyous occasions of our friends and dear one's, would surely make difference. Not just for the receiver but for the giver as well. For the gifts of the self, the self is renewed. It is something that we owe to one another, whatever the cost.

When we are truly present for other people, important things happened to them and to us. We renewed in love and friendship. We are restored emotionally and spiritually. "Being There" is the ultimate expression of love and it lies at the very core of civility.

What occasions are most important for being there? Surely weddings and funerals head the list, birthdays, christening, anniversaries, family holidays and victory celebrations follow closely. But there are other, less obvious ways to express a sense of caring. Like visiting a sick friend, or one who has just broken off with his or her lover.

How can we bestow the gift of self? Here are some suggestions:

*Be positive about invitations:
Don't immediately think of an excuse, train yourself to say 'yes' instead of thinking of conflicts. Never say no to an invitation! This may not always be practical though there are cases where in saying 'no' is exceptional. It is the attitude that best counts. Be ready to involved yourself. Work things out and find ways to accept invitations, rather than thinking of ways to say 'no'.

*Go out of your way:
Sometimes it is difficult, but when we manage to be there, in spite of the convenience of travel, expenses or schedule. We are often surprised at what a difference our presence make.

*Make amends:
Sometimes a person mises a solemn event, feels embarrassed about it. Don't let guilt compound your absence. If you did not go to the ceremony, you can still go to the person.

***Remember that your presence can be greater gift, than any material thing you could send.***

~"In Life many of us have done fighting in every way to survive, heard every painful truth, been in every heartbreaking scene and felt every dreadful feeling. We thought going through it will then make us realized that we have to stop the fight, to atleast save a little of ourselves. But you know whats funny? It's when it seems that we are so much tired of it, but still we can't just quit no matter how hard it is and we continue hoping that one day..well be able to find someone who could love us, not just "right" but "real"~
