Cosplay....

~~The School Rumble Team~~

I'm a bit tired while doing this post right now but I have to hit my keyboard, to share to my readers about the cosplay event that's happened this week. Actually my body still aching and my mind still in the different atmosphere....I'm still overwhelmed and still not over with what I experience in first cosplay I participated to. All I can say its fun...fun and fun...hahaha...I'm grateful for the experience though it made me nervous when my group finally perform on stage. Although we didn't win it but their extremely awesome when they perform on stage ("good job guys!"), and we're glad many people knows "School Rumble" based on the applause we get from the audience. One thing I can't forget we become instant celebrity that time everyone wants to get our picture...hahaha....Sounds crazy but personally I enjoy the pleasure at that moment,it's flattering....

Here's some picture taken from my phone....I still have to get some pictures taken from my friends camera.

Last Day at the old eversun Ofiice.....

This is my last day here in the old office cause I took a 3 day vacation leave, it means when I go back to work on Monday I will be reporting in our new office located at Bernardo Build. Bonifacio St., Davao City...Actually this idea is kinda dis-advantage to my part, cause I live far from the downtown area of Davao. But I'm still glad for this following reason....

Reason 1. The admin told us that we have a security in the new office..hmmmm.. it safer now compare to the old office Reason
2. All agents are in one floor only, unlike in the old office we occupy two floors the 1st and the 3rd. That's why some of us hardly known each other.
Reason 3. A personal reason..hehehe...I'm quiet scared crossing the street with a high speed vehicle, In Matina drivers known as speed craze that's the reason why I hate crossing the street all by myself. Well in Bonifacio I can't totally say that there's no speed craze driver there, but I know it's manageable ("it's near the school..so they should drive slow..lol").

Oh well enough for this, here's some of the photos we took during my last day.....

The Recording.......

After my shift I went directly to Joy a.k.a Chui's house to rehearse for their unique skit and to make plans where should I position the lighting for this coming play. By the way I will be participating this coming cosplay here in Davao held in Sm Mall. It was supposed to be a secret but since I wanted to blog it I decided to come-up in an open....hehehe. Well I will not performing on stage("that's good....very good") , my role is just a typical technical director in the group....("technical director?sounds amazing...right?"). To tell you frankly I don't have any idea about the position landed on my hand and I don't have experience either..hahaha...stupid?...well called it that way but "hey I'm so excited" it's was my first time to participate in this kind of event.

Before I just look-up to all cosplayer and imagine myself wearing those fancy costumes. I guess my imagination came true eventhough I'm not one of the cosplayer who imitate their chosen anime, but I can still wear anime costume and I have a new venture career now....(hopefully I can used it in the future..hahaha..goodluck!").. Thanks to Joy a.k.a Chui who lean me this opportunity ("hope I won't fail the group..AJA!"). Our skit is about the "School Rumble",maybe some of you already watch it....I'm grateful that we already finished the recording and somehow it turns good. The skit is well choreograph and I can say we are ready. All I can say is that my team is awesome and professional, you can see the dedication and exert effort to make this play turns good. Not because I stand as their technical director or one of their friends now, I'm saying this because of what I've witnessed."Koun o inorimasu guys!...muah...."

Why Iran fails to get the title as "Largest Sandwich" in the world?

After a hard worked and long sleepless night to present the largest sandwich in the world with the eagerness to get the tittle as the largest sandwich in the world for " Guinness Record", Iran fails....what happened?

The meat had been cooked, the sandwich almost assembled and assorted Guinness Book of Records dignitaries were patiently waiting by to give it their official stamp of approval.

But cooks in Iran were left in despair after their bid to create the world's longest sandwich failed when the crowd started eating it before it could be measured.

Event organizers had planned to stuff the 1,500-meter-long sandwich with 700 kg of ostrich meat and 700 kg of chicken, and display it in a park in the capital Tehran.

But as the sandwich was being measured, chaos ensued.

The giant snack was gone in minutes, leaving the three Guinness representatives with a problem.

One of the event’s organizers said video footage of the sandwich would be sent to Guinness officials.

"We still think the sandwich will be recorded in the Guinness book because of all the evidence and footage that we will send them," claimed Parvin Shariati.

The stunt had been organized to encourage Iranians to eat a healthier diet.

Ostrich meat is far leaner than much of the Iranian diet with as half as much fat as chicken, lots of iron, and very little cholesterol - as well as being extremely tasty.

Take a Vow by Rihanna.....

I'm just listening to some of the songs that store in my P.C. and found this one. Take a Vow by Rihanna, actually this is not a new song in the market. I think it was release a few months ago but I'm kinda like this song especially Rihanna is the one who sings it. This song talk about the guy who cheated to his girlfriend and the girl don't want to listen to he's explanation anymore. I think there is a word "enough" in every relationship specially the person you love doesn't gave you a value. Watch the video and lyrics I'm sure some of you can relate with this song Photobucket.....

Havainnas craze in Davao.......

Yesterday mom and I went to SM Mall to have our grocery, it's also a 3 day sale in SM so as we expected many people went to the mall and have their shopping and etc. While strolling inside one store caught my attention many people fall in line outside and if you try to look inside, the store is full of people and they can even hardly fit in that small room "para silang sardinas"(looks like sardines) Photobucket and FYI they even put a security to queue the traffic.*** Flashback.... A few months ago I saw this dramatic scene when Philippines has this thing so called "rice shortage" and people fall in line just to buy NFA rice because that's the cheapest rice that the government could offer, the scene that I witness yesterday looks exactly like that or even worst that that.

The funny thing about this scenario people is not buying rice or food, they stand in line and waiting patiently to get-in that store for just a pair of flip-flops....OMG!yeah you read it right it was just a "flip-flops" store they sale "HAVAINAS" which mostly Filipinos crave for but not me...hahaha....well I like the style and comfort that the kind of slipper could offer but I'm not a "havaiolics" (a term to be called to those people who is havainas addict!). I can't blame them on why they exert effort to fall in line because that store offer 40% discount in all havainas...oh thats the great thing about it, mostly havainas sold at 900-1500 up in peso but it will depend on the style and if they are having a 40% discount consumer definitely can save.

No wonder if one day most of the people you've meet in the streets of Davao will be wearing "havainas" Photobucket .But for practical reason even though it has a discount still this question leaves in my mind..It is practical to buy flip-flops that cost like that?hmmm....well honestly I'm tempted to bought 1 pair of it yesterday but I don't have a patience to stand in line for many hours (so goodbye..havainas!..lol") and now I still have to figure it out we're I will used it if ever I bought one , cause it's not so practical these days to spend a dough on a branded flip-flops then just leave it in the house. Photobucket Anyway I research some about havainas and found this article....

Havaianas are Brazilian rubber sandals exported internationally and have a massive variety of trendy colors and distinctive styles. These rubber sandals, which are popularly known as flip-flops, are extremely comfortable. The world renowned rubber slippers are available in different bright and vibrant colors. They are also designed in numerous and diverse eye catching styles. Although considered expensive by most people, the comfort and style merged into each and every Havaianas slipper makes every single penny definitely well spent. Since 1962, São Paulo Alpargatas, a manufacturing company in Brazil , have been making these one of a kind flip-flops. The inspiration for the Havaianas innovation is the Zori, which is a Japanese style sandal and the term Havaianas, which is Portuguese for Hawaiians, serves as homage to the crystal clear waters and white sand beaches of Hawaii .

Also, a rubber formula which has been kept secret for the past forty two years makes them as soft as butter, weightless, supple and long-lasting. Since they started exporting their products, São Paulo Alpargatas has sold more than two billion pairs of Havaianas throughout the world. The wide range of inimitable designs and vivacious colors of the Havaianas slippers is another reason why they are worn by different personalities ranging from an average citizen to dignitaries and celebrities. Slim, top and high are a few of its most popular styles up to date. Various colors like blue, red, white and brown are just some of the dazzling colors available. In one occasion, Havaianas even made a new line of slippers to commemorate the FIFA World Cup. And as expected, people flocked to different retailers just to have their own pair of the specially designed flip-flops. Undoubtedly, these addictive rubber slippers are taking over the world one foot at a time.

Havaianas, although a bit expensive, possess butter-soft comfort and eye catching styles that make it truly the world's most loved rubber sandals.

P.S: "Actually, sa Philippines lang sinasamba ang havaianas. go to u.s at wala lang yang havs na yan. sa brazil (where havaianas originated), cheap slippers lang yan since they are a country of footwear." <- I found this in one of the forum and they talk about havainas....Well for me if you feel comfortable and happy in a particular thing even it's cost a million bucks well don't deprived yourself to it...Life is too short enjoy all the materials things that this world could offer...hahaha....Photobucket

Quotes from Grey's Anatomy

My friend/officemate/seatmate Bojoy send this different quotes to me taken from Grey's Anatomy and I though it's good to share this to all of you.....

You know how when you were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales, that fantasy of what your life would be, white dress, prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill. You would lie in bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming, they were so close you could taste them, but eventually you grow up, one day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is its hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely cause almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith, that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true. ~Dr. Meredith Grey~

Pain, you just have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers, you just breath deep and wait for it to subside. Most of the time pain can be managed but sometimes the pain gets you where you least expect it. Hits way below the belt and doesn't let up. Pain, you just have to fight through, because the truth is you can't outrun it and life always makes more. ~Dr. Meredith Grey~

A couple of hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret of his success. Never leave that till tomorrow, he said, which you can do today. This is the man who discovered electricity. You think more people would listen to what he had to say. I don't know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd have to say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, sometimes the fear is just of making a decision, because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo? The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we hadn't been told. We've all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore. Until we finally understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin really meant. That knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, even the worst, beat the hell out of never trying. ~Dr. Meredith Grey~

Sometimes reality has a way of sneaking up and biting us in the ass. And when the dam bursts, all you can do is swim. The world of pretend is a cage, not a cocoon. We can only lie to ourselves for so long. We are tired, we are scared, denying it doesn't change the truth. Sooner or later we have to put aside our denial and face the world. Head on, guns blazing. De Nile. It's not just a river in Egypt, it's a freakin' ocean. So how do you keep from drowning in it?~Dr. Meredith Grey~

There's something to be said about a glass half full. About knowing when to say when. I think it's a floating line. A barometer of need and desire. It's entirely up to the individual. And depends on what's being poured. Sometimes all we want is a taste. Other times there's no such thing as enough, the glass is bottomless. And all we want, is more. ~Dr. Meredith Grey~

At the end of the day, there are some things you just can't help but talk about. Some things we just don't want to hear, and some things we say because we can't be silent any longer. Some things are more than what you say, they're what you do. Some things you say cause there's no other choice. Some things you keep to yourself. And not too often, but every now and then, some things simply speak for themselves. ~Dr. Meredith Grey~

For a kiss to be really good, you want it to mean something. You want it to be with someone you can't get out of your head, so that when your lips finally touch you feel it everywhere. A kiss so hot and so deep you never want to come up for air. You can't cheat your first kiss. Trust me, you don't want to. Cause when you find that right person for a first kiss, it's everything.~Dr. Meredith Grey~

Maybe we're not supposed to be happy. Maybe gratitude has nothing to do with joy. Maybe being grateful means recognizing what you have for what it is. Appreciating small victories. Admiring the struggle it takes simply to be human. Maybe we're thankful for the familiar things we know. And maybe we're thankful for the things we'll never know. At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate. ~Dr. Meredith Grey~

What is Dengue?

One of my close friend has been infected with this kind of illness"Dengue" recently. I know dengue is not a new illness in the market. We are all aware that we can get this kind of illness from mosquitoes but for the sake of those who didn't know what really dengue is, this post is for you.

What is Dengue Fever?
Dengue fever is caused by one of four viruses that are transmitted by infected Aedes mosquitoes. The transmission of the disease occurs when a mosquito bites an infected person and subsequently bites an uninfected person. The bite actually transmits the small amount of blood necessary to infect someone with dengue fever. Diagnosis is made through blood tests that scan for antibodies to dengue viruses.

Symptoms of Dengue Fever

1) Sudden onset of high fever, which may last two to nine days.
2) Severe headache mostly in the forehead
3) Joint and muscle pain, and body aches
4) Pain behind the eyes which worsens with eye movement
5) Nausea or vomiting of coffee coloured matter blood
4) Black stools like coal tar
5) Excessive thirst (dry mouth)
6) Pale, cold skin
7) Weakness
8) Skin rashes maculopapular rash or red tiny spots on the skin, called Petechiae.

Most symptoms of the disease subside within seven days of their onset, and patients are expected to make a full recovery. In a small number of cases, dengue hemorrhagic fever may develop, which has a much higher fatality rate in children and individuals with suppressed immune systems.

The Aedes mosquito lives in tropical areas of the world including the Americas, southern Europe, North Africa, the eastern Mediterranean, Asia, Australia, various islands in the Indian Ocean, the south Pacific, the central Pacific and in the Caribbean. Seek medical attention at the first sign of symptoms.

Extravagant B-day and a Disaster Movie

Last Sunday I got an invitation from Kuya Cesar to attend the 1st Birthday Party of he's lovely daughter Baby Venice held in White Garland Room, Grand Men Seng Hotel. It's a extravagant party for a 1 year old...he's dad (kuya Cesar) really love her no doubt about it!hehehe...I enjoyed the food and also my two officemate James and Ice...right guys?It was a good party..."Thank you Kuya Cesar for inviting us and be part of it. And Happy Birthday Baby Venice.....what a sweet kid, she always carry her smile."

After the party the three of us (James, Ice and Me) decided to go to Gmall to watch a movie. I told them to watch a comedy movie, so that we can all have a good laugh, then they agree with me (see...told you, I have a power to convinced people...hahaha). I choose "Disaster Movie" cause that's the only comedy movie available in the cinema.... While watching that movie I thought it can make me laugh and provide a genuine comedy....but unfortunately it didn't pass my taste.

I wasn't entertain that much and feel sorry for myself to waste my money for it..arrggg...The story is about saving the world from major catastrophe and the only thing who can save the world from total disaster is putting the "Golden Skull" in he's place. All you can see in the movie is mimicking certain Hollywood icons like Jessica Simpson, Hannah Montana and some movie in the past like Batman, Iron Man, Chipmunks, Hulk, Indiana Jones, and etc. which makes the movie boring or tedious. Based on the title itself "Disaster Movie" its was a total disaster and the most horrible movie I ever saw this year.Don't even tried to watch it in the big screen cause it's not worth a penny, go to pirated DVD instead...hehehe..just kidding..muah

My Birthday Celebration with my Family....

Yehey! It’s my birthday post….I know it's a late post again, but readers please bear with me I’ve been a busy chick lately. Well for some people doesn’t know me I celebrated my 24th birthday last Oct. 1. Its holiday in Philippines to gave respect also to the Ramadan, so it means no work for us and to the other offices, lucky for me because I don’t have to file for vacation leave. Well I didn’t have a birthday party to celebrate it, instead I spend my whole day with my family dine-out in one of the fancy restaurant and have a karaoke (that’s our family past time…pssst…). The plan was supposed to be a nature tripping in Eden Natures Park but we cancelled it due to weather, lately Davao City experience rainy season mostly at night maybe because month of December is approaching. And if you’re going to Eden it’s really hard for you to find a vehicle to drive you to the location…It’s in the peak of the mountain, unfortunately we don’t have a car and it’s hard especially if it’s rains…(I wanted to ride a horse…huhuhu), but dad promised me to bring us there next time.

Ok we have our lunch at Big By’s, it was a good lunch the food is scrumptious, luscious and extremely yummy, don’t get me wrong I’m not advertising Big bys here…hahaha. But I can tell you its worth a penny, it’s worth because I got a freebie?lol…nah!...seriously the food and the ambience is extremely greet. Speaking of freebie or freebies I’ve been so lucky enough to get freebies in Big By’s, and I’m thankful for that. It’s very rare for them to give freebies to their customer I guess I’m one of those lucky customer to received the blessing. Oh well the staff wanted to sing a birthday song for me especially Bon, is that he’s name? I forget it …By the way he’s “the waiter” who serve us, “thank you for your good customer service we really appreciate that”…I refuse their offer to sing me a birthday song because I’m too shy to let the world knows it’s my birthday and I don’t want my face turns to red in front of many people…(fyi: my face turns red if I got so much attention…)…Bon gave us not just one freebies but two first the strawberry ice cream for my cousin, but actually I’m the one who eat it (I’m an ice cream addict!...lol) , then second I forgot the name of the dessert but I can describe it. Actually it’s a sugar coated fried banana or “turon” to be exact with a vanilla ice cream topping and has melted chocolate written “Happy Birthday Aubrey”.

***The picture tells you everything….
The Belly Buster and the fisherman's dish....

The Midnight Dream Cake and the Kiddie Spaghetti Combo...

The Freebies...weeee..they misspelled my name..=(

Family Pictures....
Mama,Papa,bro and my cousin....

Karaoke Time...Family and my cousin MAX...

P.S.: This is not the happiest birthday I had, every time I celebrate my birthday it’s just like an ordinary day for me. But I’m thankful to God that he bless me so much and reach this age, although I’m not deserving to received all his blessing. I thank him for giving me a good family that I can always turn too, a long time friends that I can lean on and a job that can provide all my material needs… Although sometimes I felt lonely and alone I think it’s a normal thing for a person to felt that way, but I’m still very fortunate to have this people around me and of course this particular person who’s back into my life after a long silence. I don’t care what kind of relationship we have right now, all I know that I’m happy and thankful that God let me experience this moment. He becomes a part of my life before and until now he’s still a part of it …Cheers! Thanks to all who greeted me…...specially jean for posting me to her blog...”Salamat po sa inyo..muah..ingats”

~"In Life many of us have done fighting in every way to survive, heard every painful truth, been in every heartbreaking scene and felt every dreadful feeling. We thought going through it will then make us realized that we have to stop the fight, to atleast save a little of ourselves. But you know whats funny? It's when it seems that we are so much tired of it, but still we can't just quit no matter how hard it is and we continue hoping that one day..well be able to find someone who could love us, not just "right" but "real"~
