Advance Birthday Celebration with my family

Even though my birthday is on October 1, 2009 and it’s a working day I decided to celebrate my birthday with my family in advance. My primary plan is to go to Samal Island, but since I have this up coming trip in Singapore I decided to celebrate my birthday here instead. It’s a usual family bond celebration we went to the mall strolling and have some snacks, and then we spend our dinner in Garden Fresca located in Coca Cola Village. Actually it’s my first time to be in that place my friend Raquel is the one who suggest it to me, she told me it was a nice place to spend time with family. So

I thought of trying it, the place didn’t disappoint me it was a nice place indeed, good ambiance and one of the romantic places I went …why I considered it romantic? Well aside from floating cottages they offer (“unfortunately we didn’t experience that coz it’s raining that time and the management decides to close it for a while, well we stay in their outdoor cottages”) they also have this “harana” thing, people who plays guitar while singing. We really enjoy their “harana”, they play both old local (pinoy) and foreign songs in fact we keep on requesting song from them..hehe…I also considered that place magical and mysterious, why? Well I’m going to save it in my next post. To sum it up we had a good dinner in Garden Fresca and I wished to go back soon.:)

Mom and Dad 25th Anniversary

Last August 21,2009 is my parent’s 25th Anniversary known as “silver anniversary”, before I dream to throw a huge party for them or organize a wedding just to renew their bows once again, but since I’m out of penny now I can’t afford that thing (sad) “I’m sorry mom and dad just wait 5 yrs from now, maybe this dream will finally come true..hehe, well see”. Well being out of penny doesn’t give me hindrance to make this special moment of my parents to be memorable. We celebrate it by going to the beach in Blue Jazz just the four of us, we stay there for a night. It’s really nice feeling to be with my family that time. We talk, drink, eat and do a lot of swimming. It’s a night full of laughs and bonding moments, and that’s also the time that I finally confess to my parents that I will be going to Singapore this October (“Blue jazz lang pala ang katapat..hehe”). I thought I will be receiving a negative reaction on that matter but to my surprise their all excited, more excited than me…”hehe, thanks mama and papa”. I’m so proud that my parents reach 25 years as a couple, 25 years is not that easy. Here’s a poem that I will dedicate for them.

One by one each year flew by, since you both said, “I do"
25 years of memories shared by the two of you.
From big events and holidays to simple daily pleasures,
Some tearful times along life’s way, some joys that can’t be measured
One by one each year now gone, But still they’re yours forever
Each and every memory, of a quarter Century together!

Happy Silver Anniversary Mama and Papa, I love you both.

The celebration wouldn't be complete without a pictures, here's the glimpse of it:

Weekend Facial

Last week my good friend Beverly gave me and mom a free facial and hand spa treatment. She endorsed and let us tries her newly found products, and that’s Mary Kay. I know many of you know this product already and maybe some of you already tried it, Mary Kay it’s out in the market for many years now. Bev’s gave us tips on how to used or apply their products in a proper way “you’re a certified mary kay endorser! now mareng or later become a mary kay model...yay!” After the facial session given to us by Bev’s Mary kay amaze me, I fall in love with their facial kit in just a matter of minutes. The calmness and fresh feeling I felt when I tried the products, I’m planning to get the facial kit this last week of May because I still have my OLAY. I’m a certified OLAY user actually OLAY is a great product also but the I’m not that satisfied with it that’s why I wanted to switch from OLAY to Mary Kay I hope it’s really suit onto my skin. Like what Bevs told me “Mareng switch to Mary Kay for a new you”...hehe “will Bevs congratulation your slogan is really convincing..:)”.

My Unforgetable Valentines Celebration

Valentines Day is not only intended for couples, because Singles knows how to have fun also, right single people? Even though I’m in the top lists to be in the firing squad this years Valentine because obviously I’m single for 24 years, still I don’t want to spoil the celebration because of that reason. Well this is the happiest, busiest and awesome valentines celebration I’ve ever experience in my whole life. I’m grateful that I could spend my valentines day with my family and friends. I went home after my shift I bought a little box of valentine donut from Dunkin (“it’s a heart shape donut...yay!”), it serves as a valentine gift for my parents, and then I went to bed to catch some z’s.

Early afternoon I’ve spend my Valentines Day with my mom, dad, bro and he’s girlfriend at the mall, I treat them in Pancake House.

After that I have a date with the singles girlfriend namely Jessica and Raquel we went to Cafe Firenzo located in Damosa, we sip some smoothies while having our girl talk.

At 10 p.m Raquel and I left Jessica and her girl friend in Cafe Firenzo, cause we have another date together with our night shift boy friends Ale, Kuya Erwin, Cliff, Majar, and my cousin Elton (“all of them are certified single, except for my cousin Elton”**wink)**. We meet them in Toryanos, after that we decide to go to seawall. We bought some drinks, a half gallon of ice cream and some junk foods. Actually it really looks like were having a “picnic” in the middle of the night...Hehe. We spend our night talking, throwing jokes, me and Raquel savour the taste of the ice cream while the boy’s enjoying their drinks. We went home around 4 o’clock, yeah it’s already morning! We're all dead tired, but for me it's worth it.

I really did enjoy my Valentines Day thanks for my family and friends. I just realized that it’s not necessary to have a lover or a partner to enjoy this kind of celebration, the important is you spend it with the people you love and value the most. Thank's everyone…..

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope every one of you enjoys this celebration…If you ask me about how’s my Christmas going? Well it’s good it’s just a simple celebration with my family. I’m thankful to God for the blessing to have such a wonderful family, who’s always on my side. But honestly I’m hypocrite if I’ll tell you that I’m perfectly happy while celebrating Christmas. I felt sad because I have this issue or some sort of a miss-understanding from one of the people who’s been a part of my life for a while and I really don’t have a plan to fix it not even in this new year to come. I hope God can forgive me for acting this way.

Anyways I don’t want to brought out this issue cause I know he will be reading my blog and I don’t want him to think that I’m depress because of him (“baga lang kaayu sya ug nawung kung isipon niya nah!”) But it’s really bugging me, cause I’m not the type who really into a fight and besides it’s my first time to have a conflict towards a person that never be fix before the year to end. Although I felt this way I don’t let this thing ruin my Christmas celebration with my family, I still enjoy Christmas despite of all.

In Christmas Eve we went to Nccc Mall the four of us again…me, my parents and baby bro. Have some shop then went to dinner after that we rush home so that we can attend the mass. After celebrating the mass we went home to have our “Noche Buena” together, have some karaoke, gave some gifts to my inaanak (godson and goddaughter).

***Noche Buena time***

***Gifts that I recieved; from mom, my neighbors and trunks***

Mom gave me a hello kitty pouch, Trunks is the one who gave that cute cow...and my neighbor gave us that blue bag that contains some coffee, soap including a T-back...is it for me?hahaha...fresh from Singapore...I'm still waiting for the gift from pop...hehehe..."Thank you all for the gift I do appreciate it...muah"

***Gifts for my inaanak and little cousins***
It's a heart warming scene if I saw the kids with their big and innocent smile while receiving this gifts....

It’s a silent Christmas experience to all the people in Davao because our mayor doesn’t approve to use a firecracker. Christmas doesn’t weigh on that, the important is how you celebrate your Christmas and always be thankful for the blessing you received everyday from God almighty...

It's time to decorate!...weee

Since I'm on vacation for the first week of December , we have agreed to set our Christmas decoration as soon as when I get back from a trip . Every year me, mom , dad and bro set-up our Christmas decoration together...this is one of the reason why I really love Christmas. Last year we decorate our Christmas tree but now we have agreed to make it simple...we just put a simple decoration in the living room and a Bell Christmas light in our terrace.

All Soul's Day Update....

This is the perfect time to commemorate or to remember our love ones. Me, Mom and Bro went to memorial park to visit our parted love ones (grandpa, grandma, uncle and my cousin Chris...in mother side). We offer flower and prayers, stay for a while then left. After that we went to SM Mall to watch movies, me and bro wanted to watch "eagle eye", but since mom is with us we decided to go for a Tagalog movie instead. We watched the latest romantic-comedy movie of Toni and Vhong "My Only Ü"... Well about the movie is worth for a penny, it can make you laugh and can touch your heart by their heart-breaking drama they offer in the movie, but is more to laugh.I don't want to make a review with that..I'm tired right now and lazy...hahaha...If you want to treat yourself and decided to watch a movie that make you laugh "My Only Ü" is perfect to watch....Photobucket

My Birthday Celebration with my Family....

Yehey! It’s my birthday post….I know it's a late post again, but readers please bear with me I’ve been a busy chick lately. Well for some people doesn’t know me I celebrated my 24th birthday last Oct. 1. Its holiday in Philippines to gave respect also to the Ramadan, so it means no work for us and to the other offices, lucky for me because I don’t have to file for vacation leave. Well I didn’t have a birthday party to celebrate it, instead I spend my whole day with my family dine-out in one of the fancy restaurant and have a karaoke (that’s our family past time…pssst…). The plan was supposed to be a nature tripping in Eden Natures Park but we cancelled it due to weather, lately Davao City experience rainy season mostly at night maybe because month of December is approaching. And if you’re going to Eden it’s really hard for you to find a vehicle to drive you to the location…It’s in the peak of the mountain, unfortunately we don’t have a car and it’s hard especially if it’s rains…(I wanted to ride a horse…huhuhu), but dad promised me to bring us there next time.

Ok we have our lunch at Big By’s, it was a good lunch the food is scrumptious, luscious and extremely yummy, don’t get me wrong I’m not advertising Big bys here…hahaha. But I can tell you its worth a penny, it’s worth because I got a freebie?lol…nah!...seriously the food and the ambience is extremely greet. Speaking of freebie or freebies I’ve been so lucky enough to get freebies in Big By’s, and I’m thankful for that. It’s very rare for them to give freebies to their customer I guess I’m one of those lucky customer to received the blessing. Oh well the staff wanted to sing a birthday song for me especially Bon, is that he’s name? I forget it …By the way he’s “the waiter” who serve us, “thank you for your good customer service we really appreciate that”…I refuse their offer to sing me a birthday song because I’m too shy to let the world knows it’s my birthday and I don’t want my face turns to red in front of many people…(fyi: my face turns red if I got so much attention…)…Bon gave us not just one freebies but two first the strawberry ice cream for my cousin, but actually I’m the one who eat it (I’m an ice cream addict!...lol) , then second I forgot the name of the dessert but I can describe it. Actually it’s a sugar coated fried banana or “turon” to be exact with a vanilla ice cream topping and has melted chocolate written “Happy Birthday Aubrey”.

***The picture tells you everything….
The Belly Buster and the fisherman's dish....

The Midnight Dream Cake and the Kiddie Spaghetti Combo...

The Freebies...weeee..they misspelled my name..=(

Family Pictures....
Mama,Papa,bro and my cousin....

Karaoke Time...Family and my cousin MAX...

P.S.: This is not the happiest birthday I had, every time I celebrate my birthday it’s just like an ordinary day for me. But I’m thankful to God that he bless me so much and reach this age, although I’m not deserving to received all his blessing. I thank him for giving me a good family that I can always turn too, a long time friends that I can lean on and a job that can provide all my material needs… Although sometimes I felt lonely and alone I think it’s a normal thing for a person to felt that way, but I’m still very fortunate to have this people around me and of course this particular person who’s back into my life after a long silence. I don’t care what kind of relationship we have right now, all I know that I’m happy and thankful that God let me experience this moment. He becomes a part of my life before and until now he’s still a part of it …Cheers! Thanks to all who greeted me…...specially jean for posting me to her blog...”Salamat po sa inyo..muah..ingats”

If your living in Davao City you will know that every August Davao City celebrate "Kadayawan" it's a feast to gave thanks for a good harvest.Davao city is known as a food basket in the Philippines, it's a one week celebration.I didn't watch the Indak-Indak and the Floral float parade cause it's so hot, but I make sure that I will be enjoying some of the things that this festive will offer. There's a lot of band played in every streets in Davao both local and foreign artist. Although there's an on-going battle happened in Cotabato (one of the the city in Mindanao) and receive some bomb threat, people of Davao didn't make this as a hindrance to enjoy the Kadayawan Festival. Many foreign visitor come to visit and want to witnessed the festival. With the distinct procedure of government officials and the help of different policeman in Davao City the Kadayawan celebration start well and ends well.

Weekend Part 1

Aside from my new PC, this is one of the reason why I've never been doing blog hopping or even updating a post. Last week Friday I received a message from mom that after work I will go to San Pedro Hospital, because EG son of my cousin was admitted there.

Last week were in the hospital gathered...my family, my uncle, aunt and the rest of my cousins. The Shiroma family is one of the closest relative we have, were there supporting them in there lowest times.EG is just an 11 year old kid he was diagnosed that there is a problem in he's liver. Sunday morning were waiting if the operation of EG will be pause or not cause the doctor said they will observed it first, if the medicine could help him recover. But unfortunately the medication doesn't work so the doctor decided that EG will undergo the operation and it will happened exactly 4 in the afternoon.

While waiting for the doctor to conduct the operation, for a while I become a baby sitter of my cousin she's a "special child". Her name is "Nikki", she's very sweet and smart kid, she's very special to us. She wanted to watch a movie titled "A very special love" played by Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz, so my aunt ask me a favor to accompany her in the Cinema together with her yaya/nanny.

The movie is good you will be surprised by the team up of Sarah and John, some thought it wouldn't click. But amazingly in this movie they have a good chemistry. It's a good story well crafted it's not corny and in terms of acting they are both professional. Somewhat this movie relieved the tension in my heart, I really bother by EG's condition. After watching movie we go right away in the hospital and take our late lunch.

It's already 4 pm and EG is in the operating room, the tension burst it again. Meanwhile we take advantage to go to the chapel and attend the mass held inside the San Pedro hospital.I was supposed to go to Cosplay that afternoon, but I need to be there with my love ones. After the mass we go back to the room and later we receive a good news. EG's liver is good in fact healthy it's just an appendicitis, but needs an operation right away.We are all glad upon hearing that news our prayers suddenly answer, thank God. After the operation all the worries has been washed up, praise good the tension is over that night.

Then I left for a while to go to cosplay and watch Joy perform on stage, I arrived late in Metro Avenue...ops I will continue this portion on my next post....muah

This is Nikki my cousin at the cinema

~"In Life many of us have done fighting in every way to survive, heard every painful truth, been in every heartbreaking scene and felt every dreadful feeling. We thought going through it will then make us realized that we have to stop the fight, to atleast save a little of ourselves. But you know whats funny? It's when it seems that we are so much tired of it, but still we can't just quit no matter how hard it is and we continue hoping that one day..well be able to find someone who could love us, not just "right" but "real"~
