Thank you for the laughter,
For the good times that we share,
Thanks for always listening,
For trying to be fair.

Thank you for your comfort,
When things are going bad,
Thank you for the shoulder,
To cry on when I'm sad.

This poem is a reminder that
All my life through,
I'll be thanking Heaven
For a Special Dad like you."

***For a man who stands with me for 23 years. A man who has a strong physique enough to protect us all the time. A man who has a pure heart that could love he's family unconditionally and a man who continuously give everything just to please he's little girl....My Dad, my so called "Papa". All these years you thought me everything about life, the difference between right and wrong, and how to fight and survive in all the obstacles that comes my way.You're not a perfect father nor a perfect person but for me your imperfection is enough to gain my respect. Your my hero you save me from a near death when I was young, rushed me to hospital without knowing you didn't wear your slipper that day...Every time you tell us that story, we indeed laughing and teasing you. But deep inside I was moved, my heart cries out and at the same time overwhelming to have a father like you. Before I didn't understand why your so strict to me, you didn't allow me to go out late and be with my friends. I have even a curfew and that makes me irritate at you sometimes.But now I understand your just protecting me.When the world turns me down, when the door of my dreams closed and when the people I thought are my friends which turns not...remember Davao light?You witness the pain I went trough, I'm sobbing with tears that night.I know in my heart and in my my mind I disappoint you. But instead to reprimand me you stay at my side and said "Aub bata pa ka daghan pa muabot na opportunity sa imo".Pa thank you for the comfort and advice that night. Thank you for being a loving father to us and a loyal husband to mum. Thank God you are my father, no man can ever replace you in my heart...I promised you that...I'm still your baby girl..muah pops....love yah!!!..=)
